Bronx County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release someone, post bail, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those actions.

Official Bronx Record Routing

Bronx County uses New York City systems, so the right contact depends on timing and the type of record. NYPD handles a very recent arrest and police records. NYC DOC handles current city-jail custody and DOC records. Bronx Criminal Court is the route for a case outcome or court guidance. The Sheriff Bronx office is not a jail or booking-record contact.

Recent NYPD Custody

For a person possibly in NYPD custody during the first 24 to 48 hours, use NYC 311's Find an Arrested Person route. Dial 311 within New York City or call 212-639-9675 from outside the city. This phone service may identify police custody and the expected arraignment location, but it is not a public web roster and does not supply a photo.

NYPD FOIL Records

Send an NYPD request through NYC OpenRecords. NYPD lists its Records Access Officer as Lt. Cynthia Acerra, Legal Bureau-FOIL, One Police Plaza, Room 110-A, New York, NY 10038, phone 646-610-5296. Include specific identifiers such as an arrest number when known, or a full name, date of birth, arrest date, and precinct. New York FOIL Article 6 and Public Officers Law § 89(2)(b)(viii) may limit a booking-photo response.

NYC DOC Custody and FOIL

Use the NYC DOC inmate lookup for current DOC custody after arraignment, not for every recent NYPD arrest. For DOC records, select the Department of Correction in NYC OpenRecords or contact Peter L. Faherty, NYC DOC Legal Division, 75-20 Astoria Boulevard, Suite 305, East Elmhurst, NY 11370. The DOC page lists 25 cents per page or actual reproduction cost where applicable. DOC states that it does not supply mugshots.

Court and Warrant Contacts

For a case location or disposition route, the Bronx Criminal Court locator lists 265 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451, phone 718-618-3100. NYC 311's separate arrest-warrant guidance identifies 215 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451, phone 718-618-2460. A person concerned about a warrant should contact the court or an attorney rather than attempting to resolve it through a community encounter.

NYC Sheriff Bronx Office

The NYC Sheriff Bronx Office is at 3030 Third Avenue, 2nd Floor, Bronx, NY 10455, phone 718-993-3880. Its work is civil process and warrant enforcement, not jail intake, current custody, or routine NYPD booking records. Confirm hours and the purpose of a visit with the office because its service functions differ.
